There’s no better rule than a good example- Leadership by example : a great leader has to be first and foremost an example, a motivator able to convey clearly the organization values and the corporate vision.
Being transparent will not leave room for misunderstanding : working hard on communicating with your team, including the hardest side of that, which is providing constructive feedback or sharing difficult news.
Focus on achieving results: being driven by results and setting targets for the team is the starting point, but a great leader has to master a balancing act, stressing the importance of the results and the goals to achieve,without transmitting the team unnecessary stress and pressure that will affect performance negatively.
Being Fair is a must : the use of metrics for evaluating performance fairly for the team,as a whole. This will increase trust and build a stronger team.
Get Organized : Planning own and others work, which translate , for example, showing up on time at business meetings, define clear expectations and define structured and achievable action plans.
Practice the art of listening : be the sounding board for all your employees in the offices and always use this conversations to define ways to improve team well being and improve the work environment ways, but avoid becoming a confessor or someone who foster gossiping.
Do not be indecisive : uncertainty and hesitation are harmful for the business and the team and undermine the role of the leader.
Regardless of business, there’s the value of being ethical: this value in itself, is a must and a prerequisite in all the structured organizations, integrity will lead to business success.
Understanding other people’s feelings , Empathy is the ability to recognize and anticipate the needs of your team ,will allow you to get the best out of them on regular basis.
